Celebrations

Hello,
As a child growing up I remembered going with one of my childhood neighbour and friend to their relatives home on Divali. Now I grew up in a Christian home so I knew nothing of how divali was celebrated other than it was A Hindu celabration and it was a festival of lights. This experience for me was of grate interest because i never knew what took place during the divali celebartion. I took part in the sharing of the meal an watching of the fire works and as I grew older I had a better understanding on what the celebration was about and I got to know some of the different sweets they had. I also learnt that leading up to Divali they had to pray and fast before and they could not take part of any fresh(meat). So although i'm not a hindu I always admire the way they take there fasting seriously the old and the young. So to all my Hindu friends thanks for allowing me to experience Divali with you.

Experiences

Hello,
We face different trials in life an we have to learn how to deal with the trials , We can choose to give in to the trials an let it have a negative effect on us, or we can choose to learn from the trials and work around it. I have face a lot of trials and and they were not easyto get through, at first i allowed it to get to me an d I allowed it to bring me down but i started to pray about the situation and i got help from friends an it did have a great effect on me. I thanked God an all those who have supported me through that difficult time of my life. Don't ever let people or things in life bring you down, let it instead uplift you.
